About Us
What is Netlife?

A NO OVERHEAD non-profit organization dedicated to malaria prevention. Founded in 2005 by two Saint Louis University medical students; Andrew Sherman and Jesse Matthews. Andrew and Jesse graduated from Saint Louis University in 2008 and are now in their residency training. Netlife is a registered 501(c)(3).

What does Netlife do?

We raise funds to support the distributions of long-term insecticide treated mosquito nets. Whenmosquito nets have been donated by other organizations, Netlife helps fund educational projects to help village leaders be experts in Malaria prevention and mosquito net distributions. We travel to the region of Kedougou in Senegal and work with Peace Corps Volunteers. We distribute long-lasting impregnated mosquito nets to villagers in need. We provide health education and training on the proper use of nets at each distribution.

Why?

Malaria kills 1 million people a year.
90% of those killed by malaria live in sub-saharan Africa.
90% of individuals in the Kedougou region of Senegal contract malaria annually.
Mosquito nets are the best way to prevent malaria.
